Mochii ("we", "our", or "us") is a pet care app built by KSE Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Mochii mobile application ("the App").
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide the App's features:
- Account information: Email address and display name when you create an account.
- Pet profiles: Names, species, breed, date of birth, weight, and photos you add for your pets.
- Health records: Vet visits, vaccinations, medications, and other pet health data you choose to enter.
- Reminders: Dates and notes for appointments and medication schedules.
- Device token: A push-notification token so we can deliver reminders you set.
- Photos: Images you select from your photo library or take with your camera. Photos are stored securely in Firebase Storage and are only used to display your pet's profile.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and pet profiles.
- To display health records and reminders within the App.
- To send push notifications for reminders you have scheduled.
- To improve the App's features and performance (aggregated, non-identifiable analytics only).
3. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored using Google Firebase (Firestore, Firebase Storage, and Firebase Authentication), which is hosted on Google's secure infrastructure. Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. We do not store your data on any other third-party servers.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your data with third parties except:
- Google Firebase: As our infrastructure provider. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Legal requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
5. Advertising (SKAdNetwork)
The App includes Apple's SKAdNetwork identifiers for Meta (Facebook) app-install campaigns. This is a privacy-preserving, aggregate measurement framework — no personal data or device identifiers (IDFA) are shared with advertisers. You will never be tracked across apps or websites.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
You may at any time:
- Access, update, or delete your account and pet data from within the App.
- Delete your account entirely by contacting us at the address below. All associated data will be permanently removed.
- Withdraw photo library or camera permissions via your device's Settings app.
8. Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
